ACES MISSION STATEMENT Through a collaborative effort of Great News! 2/27/2012 As you all know, ACES has been working with Chief Phillips and other organizations to determine how to end the sale of synthetic marijuana (i.e. K2/K3, Spice) in Avon convenient stores. Chief Phillips let me know today, that after speaking to other law enforcement departments and the District Attorney's office, he spoke to the owner of A1 Market and advised that if they continued to sell the synthetic marijuana, that charges will be filed, and that the Police department will be monitoring the situation. By 2/17 the synthetic marijuana was removed from A1 market! This is a major move in protecting Avon youth from this dangerous substance that is being increasingly used by youth. A BIG thank you to Chief Phillips, Deputy Chief Martineau, and the Avon Police Department! Important information about teen drinking that all parents must see!
