Stainless Steel Drinking fountain at my alma mater, Paradise Elementary School in Paradise, California. In 6th grade, I was out playing on the playground on a very hot day and when the recess bell rang, my friend Debbie and I stopped for a drink and then raced to line-up to go back into class. The next thing I remember, I felt like I was in bed, curled up in a fetal position, floating in a wonderful warm sleep. Then I rudely found myself laying on the asphalt - I had passed out. I got up and looked around, expecting everyone to be laughing at me, but since I was near the end of the line, nobody seemed to notice except Debbie, who helped me up. Apparently, even though it felt like I was floating for several minutes, I was only out for a second - just long enough to bang my forehead against the asphalt. I walked into class and tried to pretend like nothing had happened but soon got sick and had to ask to go to the nurse. This was one of only a couple times when I was legitimately sick at school and had to go home. Every other time I was faking it to get out of something. Standing in line
