Accounts v1.5.0 Released

New Features
  • Added transfers between accounts. Select 'Transfer' rather than withdraw/deposit when adding a new transaction.
Modifications
  • Made account balance text slightly bigger.

Accounts v1.4.0 Released

This version was released on 19th March, I am adding it here for completeness.

New features
  • Ability to view week/month graph of account balance and expenditure. Access from Menu > Expenditure
Bug Fixes
  • Accounts did not ask for password before opening.

Accounts v1.3.0 Released

This is an important release as it not only improves a lot of the smaller things users have requested but also includes a few big improvements to the capabilities available.

New features
  • Can now set items as 'cleared'. Check Preferences for the ability to hide cleared items. If cleared items are not hidden as specified in preferences then they are marked as 'cleared' in the account view and transaction view.
  • Ability to import accounts from exported email by pasting the email into the new import view. Users must re-export all accounts if they wish to be able to import them in the future.
  • Repeated transactions are now available with extensive repetition options.
  • Account balance now shows total for current searched items.
  • Total balance of all accounts is displayed on the accounts list view.
  • When creating a new account, the initial balance can be entered.
Modifications
  • Adding a new transaction now shows new 'Done' button so that no scrolling is necessary to touch it.
  • Improved readability of transaction dates when viewing an account.
  • Account view now shows 'Menu' button with a submenu containing the old buttons; Edit and Export.
  • Account view shows new transaction and search as separate buttons.
  • Now more user friendly while loading data, displays visual cues such as loading wheel or text.
Bug Fixes
  • Editing the date in a transaction and using back gesture did not prompt user to discard changes/continue editing.
  • Rearranging accounts and clicking an account loaded the account that was in its place before reordering.
  • Account view only showed 50 items, now updates to show more when user scrolls (appears seamless).

Accounts v1.2.0 Released

Several intermediate version of Accounts were prepared internally but not released, below is their combined changes. You can see a full version history in the application menu > Help > Version History.


New Features
  • Export button added when viewing an account, allows export via email with instructions to create csv file.
  • Help item added on application menu, now shows all support options including frequently asked questions, version history, website links and support email.
  • Donate button added after request.
Modifications
  • Menu interface redesigned, now much clearer to see and fits better within the look of webOS. Improves speed in some uses also.
  • 'About' dialog changed, looks a bit better now.
Bug Fixes
  • (Major) When accounts were rearranged or deleted it corrupted the database.
  • 'Erase All Data' button in preferences did as intended but left user wondering what to do next, now takes user to password setup screen.
  • Server Request for ads sent wrong information. (This did not affect how often ads were received, ads are shown only so often)

Palm Reviewing Old Update

As you may have read an Accounts update is on its way to fix a major bug that corrupted user data. Palm are now reviewing a minor update that I requested deletion for in order to get the major bug fix through quicker. If Palm release this minor update - v1.0.1, you must wait for v1.1 for the major bug fix.

Unfortunately rearranging or deleting accounts (in v1.0) corrupts the database, so when Accounts is next opened all accounts are effectively deleted.

Please don't rearrange (drag and drop) or delete accounts (swipe to delete) until the next update appears or you will lose your data. I've submitted the update and am currently waiting for it to be processed by Palm.
