Pauley Perrette (born March 27, 1969 in New Orleans) is an American actress and singer. After her high school graduation in Atlanta Perrette studied sociology and psychology and received her master's degree in criminology. After graduation she moved to New York. She wanted to be an actress, but was in the early days of her career only minor roles in commercials and music videos. Pauley Perrette was given roles in various series and movies, the best known since 2003, the main role of Abigail "Abby" Sciuto on the show NCIS. On 20 October 2000, she married Coyote Shivers, the marriage was at first Divorced in February 2006. Perrette was a good friend of the rock singer and bassist Bianca Halstead of the band Betty Blowtorch, who died in 2001 in a car accident. A year later, Pauley Perrette mother died of breast cancer and shortly after her friend Glenn Quinn from an overdose of heroin. Pauley Perrette is not only actress but also worked as a producer. They shot the film "The American Shame". She is a poet and a spoken word artist and has several works published. Pauley Perrette sang in the indie-rock girl band, "Lo-Ball", the band broke up in 2003, however. She currently sings in the band "Stop Making Friends", also from the music can be heard on the official soundtrack to NCIS.
