Hornet Stadium. May 31, 1992. A lovely mid-afternoon game played in 90+ degree heat. Cary Blanchard kicks a game-winner as Sacramento beat the Dragons 17-15. On a sad note,Jim Valvano was one of the sideline reporters for ABC. It was his last assignment before being diagnosed with cancer. He would return briefly to do a few NCAA games for ABC the next winter before suucumbing on April 28, 1993.
