Day 135 - The Graduate
“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. You are the guy who'll decide where to go.” - Dr. Seuss Today is special. We took the long, boring drive out to Blacksburg to watch Steven receive his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Virginia Tech. Watching the graduates accept their degrees was inspiring. I often talk about how much I hate college, how it's just a means to an end and things of that nature. That's probably because I didn't graduate high school and have always wondered what it would be like to achieve something like that. Erica will be graduating this semester as well. She didn't go to her high school graduation and won't be going to her VCU one, either. In any case, I think it's definitely something to be proud of and a reason to hold your head high. Congratulations Steven, Erica and to the Class of 2010. Looking good guys! Better put your shades on, because the future is looking bright!!!
