Questions, questions, questions My Uncle Roly is 104 years old. I can't tag him in this particular game, but I wonder what his answers would be. 1.) What's the last movie you watched? I watch so few movies. It was Social Network, on the DVR. I quite enjoyed it. 2.) What's your favourite noise? Hearing Duffy (my dog) when I give him scratches in the ear. 3.) Do you like some kind of light on when you go to bed, or just darkness? I don't leave any lights on when I go to sleep, but is it really a preference? I don't know. 4.) Whats the weirdest thing you've ever eaten? As much as I like to cook, I don't eat out that much. I did go to a traditional Chinese restaraunt with a fellow who treated and he said we ate quite a few things we didn't want to know what they were. 5.) What's something you really want right now but don't need? A trip to Cairo? A full frame camera? Ben & Jerry's ice cream? Since I am a real fan of techie toys, but don't get them now anywhere as often as I used to, I suppose it would be a replacement for my 5 year old MacBook Pro. 6.) What's your hair look like right now? Fine, thank you very much. I have to wash it every day because I have a scalp condition, but it looks fine when washed and brushed. 7.) Have you seen waldo? Seen him. You bet. I'd be amazed to find a teacher who hasn't. LOL. TAG, you're it!! Feel free to untag yourself! 14.365 :: a change of plans
August 3, 2011 I spent most of the day imagining the tasty, summery meal I'd cook when I got home from work. And then it was raining, and I hit the first serious traffic of my new commute, and the groceries run took exponentially longer than I planned, because I had to figure out the layout of a new store. But then I was recharged, because Dan's softball game got rained out, so I could cook for both of us and how fun would that be, our first really home-cooked meal in our new place? Except then I got home, well after 7pm, and he... had already eaten. All motivation to cook evaporated, and it was a good thing I had bought some naan, which I turned into a quick and easy pizza with the basil and some of the tomatoes reserved for the real dinner. And it was tasty.
