GetRef Terminology

Get acquainted with GetRef terminology

Program: A program is a free membership offering site (e.g: a Freebie\Trainn site, A PTC, A Traffic Exchange site or A Downline Building blogger) which you might want to join or want others to join as your referrals.

Referral: The one who uses your referral link provided by your program site to join under you.

Downline: List of members who joined using your referral link.

Transaction: Any credit exchange activity at GetRef.

User Program:
Any GetRef listed program that you have invested credits in and are trying to get referrals for.

Promoter: The credits offerer; the member who has invested credits in a user program inviting others to join his downline.

Earner: The credits requester; the member who joins other's user program and claims credits.

Earn Request: The "pending approval" transaction for a listed GetRef program that you joined and waiting for Credits.

Accept: Promoter giving credits to the Earner.

Decline:
Promoter rejecting credits to the Earner.

Promoter Rating:
Number of times a user has ACCEPETD an earn request. (Useful in understanding how honest a user is in promoting his programs and awarding credits to the earners. Becareful while joining the programs of those who have a -ve Promoter Ratings).

Earner Rating:
Number of times a user has DECLINED an earn request. (Useful in understanding how honest a user is at fulfilling the conditions laid out by the Promoter while and after joining programs and successfully earning credits from the promoters. Becareful when somebody with a -ve Earner's Ratings requests credits. They may only be trying to earn credits without fulfilling the necessities of your program).

User Rating: A total of Promoter and
Earner Rating.

On Hold Transaction: When the "Earner" is in the process of joining a program (it might take some time to fill in all the required entries of a site to sign up), S/he first with'holds' the credits offered by the promoter by clicking the "Agree" button on the "Earn by programs". An "On Hold" transaction can be "Cancelled" any moment either by the Promoter or by the Earner with out damaging their ratings.

Update Transaction: When the "Earner" finishes joining a program, S/he "UPDATES" the "On Hold" transaction with the signed up User-id. Once a transaction is "Updated", it results in a +ve or -ve effect on both the Promoter and Earner Ratings.

Scammer: A dishonest GetRef member who cheats you of credits. A scammer usually either doesn't sign up at all with your site but falsely 'Updates' the transaction holding the offered credits for 72 hrs and then 'forces' the transaction Or, doesn't give your due credits for an offer that your successfully finished and 'Declines' the transaction. ('Scammer' is not an official GetRef term but commonly used at the GetRef forum).
