Ming-Hui "Don", Wen is a Human Factors researcher
working to design and evaluate human-computer systems especially focused on
computer games. He received his Ph.D. from the Human Factors Laboratory
at Department of Industrial Engineering & Management of National
Chiao-Tung University in Taiwan. He developed an user experience
model to represent the interactions among the user, game world and other gamers
in Massively Multiplayer Online Games (MMOGs) in his dissertation. He was a visiting researcher in
the PlayOn group at Palo Alto Research Center (PARC) from January to
November 2008. During his days at PARC, he joined a research team and conducted
a survey study to explore the issue of users’ avatar personalization in virtual
worlds. Don also served as the head of a guild in an
online game and leaded more than 300 guild members when he’s off work. He recently join a startup company and developing a cybersocial friendship management platform for MMORPG users.
