The rectilinear Terrace Kiosk (left; sometimes referred to as Kiosk of Kara Mustafa Pasha) was a belvedere built in the second half of the 16th century. It was rebuilt in 1752 by Mahmud I in the Rococo style. It is the only wooden building in the innermost part of the palace. The backside supported by columns. The kiosk consists of the main hall called Divanhane (left), a prayer room and the Room for Sweet Fruit Beverages. From the kiosk the sultan would watch sporting events and other entertainments in the garden below. The Baghdad Kiosk (in the back ) was built to commemorate the 1638 Baghdad Campaign of Sultan Murad IV (1612-1640). The facade is covered with marble, strips of porphyry and verd antique. The interior is an example of an ideal Ottoman room.

Iranian band Kiosk was in Toronto on Sep 8 at the Opera House (Queen and Broadview). They have a very unique style of music. Somewhere between jazz and rock. It was an awesome concert. (taken with a friend's camera with the kit lens and no mounted flash... at ISO1600 to avoid direct flash)
