Howdy!

I'm Abhilash Ravishankar from Mysore, Karnataka, India.

I'm currently pursuing my B. E. (Hons.) Electrical & Electronics Engineering at BITS Pilani, India. Not so long ago, I had planned to enter the dreaded world of grad school, but then I decided to take a hike. That's when I decided to join Schlumberger as a Field Engineer (I'll be joining SLB in Jul 2007).

I also served for a year and a half as the President of the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership ((CEL) at BITS Pilani. And that's where I cut my teeth with entrepreneurial leadership.

These days, I'm interning in Genesis Microchip (India) Pvt Ltd in Bangalore. Here I work on Simulink models for a Digital Video Broadcasting (Terrestrial) Reciever.

Apart from these I am working on a venture (yofa.in) which aims at creating a one-stop online place for all youth activities/activism in India.

Business apart, I'm a web technology maven, blogger (once-upon-a-time!), big time gamer, and a caffeine junkie. Guess, this fairly drives home the point that I spend most of my time in front of my trusted networked computer with a cup of coffee by the side.

Work apart, I'm quite passionate about surrealist art, architectures (including those on silicon), philosophy and psychology. I'm a die-hard fan of classic rock.
