Rangaprakash Deshpande

Hi! This is Ranga. I work at the intersection of neuroscience and engineering using brain imaging. I am currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging, Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) (location) (2019-present). I have worked previously as a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Radiology at Northwestern University (location) (2019-19) and at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior, University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), Los Angeles, CA, USA (location) (2016-18).

I graduated in 2016 with a PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Auburn University, Auburn, AL, USA (location), with a minor in psychology. During that time, I was a graduate research assistant at the Auburn University MRI Research Center, Auburn.


I obtained Master’s degree in Electrical Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India (location), and bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from RV College of Engineering, Bangalore, India (location).

My research interests span brain imaging, fMRI network modeling, cognitive neuroscience, psychiatry, biomedical signal/image processing and machine learning.
