Services and Fees Hypnobabies

I always offer a free initial consultation before a contract is signed so we can meet and decide if we are right for each other. This visit is done in a public location at a point in which both of us can travel equal distances. This "interview" is your chance to ask questions regarding me personally ( my training etc.) and to see how we "click". You are under absolutely no obligation to hire me as your doula after this consultation. I want you to choose a doula that is going to be your best match! I hold your estimated due date for one week following the interview. After one week the date will be open to other clients, therefore, it is important that you let me know your intentions within that week. After the contract is signed, one to two prenatal visits will be provided. These visits will take place at a location of your choice and will be more personal in nature. We can discuss any questions, concerns or fears that you or your support person may have. Birth Preferences can also be written at this time along with going over the importance of informed consent and how to feel confident in speaking with your care provider. Hypnobabies families will have the added benefit of an additional private birthing time birth rehearsal or overview since I am a certified Hypnodoula! I offer e-mail and phone support every day from 9:00 AM-6:00 PM. Two weeks before your estimated due date I will be "on call" and available 24/7 (meaning you can call anytime day or night!) Phone and e-mail support will continue for up to two weeks postpartum, but will return to every day 9:00 AM-6:00 PM. Of course, if it is an emergency situation, calling outside of the hours is always encouraged! I am the mother of 3 children so please be aware that if calls are made after 4:00 there may be a bit of background noise and I may need to schedule a time to call you back! I will arrive and begin birth support within 2 hours of your phone call requesting my presence. The time needed for me to arrive depends on my distance to travel to get to you. Support will be continuous until up to two hours postpartum. I will assist you and your support person by providing physical, informational, and emotional support. One Postpartum visit at your home is included. This will be a time to debrief your birth and talk about your experience. I can help in breastfeeding support, giving referrals and help you with any questions or concerns that you or your support person may have (*Additional Postpartum care is available). You will receive a time line of your birth at this time as long as time has allowed for information to be collected at the birth. This visit is completely optional. Additional Services include group and private Hypnobabies classes and postpartum doula services. Fees are as follows: In order to make doula care accessible to the most women possible I offer a sliding scale beginning at $700.00 and ending at $900 This means that you will never pay more than the beginning of the scale unless you would like to do so. A sliding scale system allows you to make a determination of payment based on how pleased you were with the services provided as well as how much is affordable to your family. All families receive the same excellent care no matter where they fit on the scale! A deposit of $200 is due upon contract signing and the remainder ($500 and up) will be due within 2 weeks postpartum.
Please know that I truly believe that every woman deserves to have a doula and can give referrals to doulas in the area if I am not available or the sliding scale is not low enough for your family. Payment plans are also available if it would help to budget the services over a certain period of time. Bartering is also accepted as long as it is a service my family is in need of.
Forms are available upon request if you would like to attempt reimbursement from your insurance company for doula or Hypnobabies classes.
Postpartum Services Postpartum home visits are currently $15 per hour for between 9pm-10pm and $20 per hour for overnights during my certification phase. I am currently a trained postpartum doula through DONA working to receive certification. These visits can include breastfeeding support, baby wearing techniques, food prep, running errands, helping with household duties or watching your little one(s) while you get some much needed rest or a shower! I am not a Baby nurse nor a housekeeper, but can provide references if those are services you are looking for! My goal as a postpartum doula is to help you navigate the early days and months of your life with a new addition, by giving support and help where needed. Essentially my goal is to work my way out of a job by instilling enough confidence in you as a new parent that you don't need the added help anymore! There is a minimum of 3 hours per session. Gift Certificates are available and make fantastic shower or Blessingway gifts. E-mail or call for more information!
