Birth is a miracle that I have been captivated by for years.  My husband, three precious children and I live in Lexington, Kentucky. I have personal experience with an out of country birth (my daughter was born in Kenya, Africa), a hospital birth, and a  home Hypnobabies waterbirth. Each birth was a positive and growing experience. With a doula present at my first birth, I realized quickly the importance of "mothering the mother" and began looking for ways to become a doula myself. My passion turned into promise when I signed up for certification with CBI (Childbirth International) and DONA (Doula's of North America). I am currently a certified labor doula with both organizations and am a DONA trained postpartum doula working toward certification. But that's not all...  After having a beautiful Hypnobabies birth myself,  I am proud to have taken the instructors training and can now offer both group and private classes as a Certified Hypnobabies Instructor!

My birth philosophy: I believe that birth is a state of health and not sickness. I understand the need for medical intervention when it is warranted, but believe that many of today's hospital procedures are not necessary and in fact can do more harm than good.  I believe birth to be  beautiful, life changing and nothing short of a miracle.  I am dedicated to giving women the resources that are needed in order to make informed decisions for the births of their children and to supply them with unconditional emotional and physical support throughout their birth journey.
