Professional Experience and Significant Achievements Senior Assistant Chief (August 2011 - Till Date) Planning Section-4 Ministry of Education Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh The Planning Wing of the Ministry of Education is headed by a Chief (Planning). There are two Branches and six Sections there in. Each Branch is headed by a Deputy Chief and the Sections are headed by Senior Assistant Chief/Assistant Chief. The Industry & Energy Division is one of the most important division of the Planning Commission. There are five wings in this division. I had been entrusted to perform my responsibilities in the Jute, Textile & BEPZA wing. My main job responsibilities here:

Ministry of Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs is now divided in to two Divisions. The Legislative & Parliamentary Affairs Division has been created very recently. As a newly created division it has no permanent setup for planning and development, rather it started with a section of Planning & Budget. The responsibility of the section is to formulate, scrutinize, process for approval, monitoring of implementation & supervise the development projects along with the revenue budget funding. The General Economic Division (GED) of Planning Commission in Bangladesh is the sole agency for preparing any kind of mid & long term planning of the country. The PRSP (Unlocking the Potentials) for Bangladesh was prepared by the GED. Presently the GED is fully engaged for formulation of the 6th Five Year Plan of Bangladesh. As an Assistant Chief my responsibility includes:
Project Director, Additional Charge (May - July, 2009) 'Establishment of Chittagong Central Jail ' project, Department of Prisons Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh
'Establishment of Chittagong Central Jail ' project is one of the priority projects of the Ministry of Home Affairs. Chittagong is the second largest city of the country and the existing district jail was established one hundred and twenty five years back. The new central jail was proposed to accommodate a total of 2000 prisoners. Total estimated cost of the project is 690 Million Bangladeshi Taka. Job responsibility as the Project Director was as follows:

'Construction of Central Jail for the Under-Trial Prisoners at Keraniganj of Dhaka District' is the biggest project of the Ministry of Home Affairs. Total estimated cost of the project is 31.70 Billion Bangladeshi Taka. Job responsibility as the Project Director is as follows:
Deputy Project Director, Additional Charge (February, 2009- August, 2009) 'Community Based Work to Develop Child Protection Mechanisms' project Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh
The UNICEF is funding for the 'Community Based Work to Develop Child Protection Mechanisms' project. The project aims to address the vulnerable children & their families who are in a risk to be trafficked to the UAE as Camel Jockeys. There was a bilateral MOU between the governments of the UAE and Bangladesh for stopping child-trafficking. The project addresses the issue with the help of three local NGOs (i.e. Bangladesh National Women Lawyers' Association, Dhaka Ahsania Mission & UDDIPON), the Ministry of Home Affairs is the mother implementing agency of the project. Total estimated cost of the project is 130 Million Bangladeshi Taka. Job responsibility as the Deputy Project Director is as follows:

Ministry of Home Affairs is one of the most important ministries of the Government of Bangladesh. There are only two Planning Sections in the ministry to formulate, scrutinize, process for approval, monitoring of implementation & supervise the development projects along with the revenue budget funding. Planning Section-2 covers all the Development Projects and Revenue Budget Financed Development Programs of the Prisons Department, Bangladesh Rifles, Bangladesh Coast Guard, Department of Immigration & Passport, Department of Narcotics Control and Department of Ansar & VDP. Job responsibility of the Section Chief is as follows:

The Rural Development & Co-operative Division is one of the two divisions of the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development & Co-operatives (LGRD). There are six Planning & Development Sections in the division to formulate, scrutinize, process for approval, monitoring of implementation & supervise the development projects. Planning & Development Section-5 covers all the Development Projects of Bangladesh Rural Development Board (BRDB). Job responsibility of the Section Chief is as follows:
§ Working for formulation of development projects. § Providing necessary assistance to prepare development project proposals to the BRDB. § Evaluation and making comments on the project proposals sent by the BRDB. § Holding meetings for scrutinizing the projects proposed by the BRDB. § Inspection and making reports of implementation of the ongoing projects. § Contributing as the ministry's representative in the Tender Evaluation Committees of various projects. § Discharging the duties as the WID (women in development) focal point of the ministry. § Discharging the duties as the Tree Plantation Focal Point of the Division. § Making comments for the Honorable Minister/Advisor on ECNEC/NEC meetings.

Ministry of Cultural Affairs of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh is responsible to promote and conserve the nation's culture and heritage in particular. it's another responsibility is to promote the tribal culture as well. There are three Planning Sections in the ministry to formulate, scrutinize, process for approval, monitoring of implementation & supervise the development projects along with the revenue budget funding. Planning Section-3 covers all the Development Projects and Revenue Budget Financed Development Programs of the Public Library Department, Archeological Department, Bangladesh Folk Art & Crafts Foundation, Tribal Cultural Academy, Rangamati, Bandarban and Cox's Bazaar Cultural Center. Job responsibility of the Section Chief is as follows:
§ Working for formulation of development projects. § Providing necessary assistance to prepare development project proposals to the concerned departments. § Evaluation and making comments on the project proposals sent by the departments. § Holding meetings for scrutinizing the projects proposed by the departments. § Inspection and making reports of implementation of the ongoing projects. § Releasing funds for the projects. § Managing the manpower of the projects. § Contributing as the ministry's representative in the Tender Evaluation Committees of various projects. § Discharging the duties as the WID (women in development) focal point of the ministry. § Regularly holding and making minutes the Monthly ADP Review Meetings of the ministry. § Making comments for the Honorable Minister/Advisor on ECNEC/NEC meetings.

The Implementation Monitoring & Evaluation Division (IMED) is the central monitoring organ of all development projects of the Government of Bangladesh. IMED belongs to the Ministry of Planning. There are several sections and sub-sector and sectors in the division. Social Sector comprises with three sub-sectors. Under the Sub-Sector-1, the Monitoring & Evaluation Section-2 covers all the Development Projects of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Liberation War Affairs and Ministry of Women & Children Affairs. Job responsibility of the Section Chief is as follows:
