I am presently working as a Senior Assistant Chief in the Ministry of Education, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. I am a member of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Economic Cadre (20th batch). I had been elected as the Publicity Secretary of the Bangladesh Civil Service Economic Association Executive Committee (2009-2011) and now President of the Assistant Chief-Sr Assistant Chief Forum (AC-SAC Forum) . I was born in a remote village of Indrail in Pirganj Upazila (Sub-district) under Dinajpur district (now in Thakurgaon) of Bangladesh in 1972. I passed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) in Science Group from Setabganj Pilot High School (Dinajpur, 1987) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) in Humanities from Dinajpur Govt College (1989). I completed my Honors (1992) and Masters (1993) in Government & Politics from Jahangirnagar University (the only residential public university in Bangladesh). I started my career as a Market Researcher in a Tobacco Company. Before of my civil service career, I served in a Nationalized Commercial Bank for three years. I am a Father of a son (NAFEES Foysol Akher) and twin daughters (Ruchi & Shuchi). I got married at my eighteen in 1990. My wife Arjia Begum Shirin, BA (Hons) MA (RU) is a house-wife. |
