What exactly is "fashion show"? Fashion show is the largest, annual event held by the Asian American Association at the University of Illinois. It consists of 7 "scenes" that revolve around a central theme. What is the theme for this year's show? MASQUERADE! We all wear a mask at some point in our lives, not revealing our true selves to the world. Whether it be with our culture, social status, ethnicity, or identity. This theme embodies all those issues as we try to discover who is behind the mask. What are the different scenes in Fashion Show? The seven scenes are Runway, Business, Casual, Cultural, Formal, Nightlife, and Dance. How many scenes can I join? There is no limit on how many or how few scenes you do, but we suggest you try them all out! I don't have much dance experience, can I still be a part of the show? Absolutely! Many of our past members came in with little or no dance experience at all. |
