Welcome to the website for your 6th grade Mathematics class at Wilcox Middle School.
I am so thoroughly glad to have the opportunity to serve you as your Mathematics instructor. You will find many helpful resources here that will help you in your studies for Math this year. I may post examples of work we do in class. You will be able to come to this website and re-review the steps and techniques that I present to you in class. If you are doing your homework for Math and you come to something that didn't fully understand or you are not able to remember how to perform it, you don't have to worry! Just log on to this website and replay what we discussed in class (if I have it on the site). If you have a particular objective or GPS that you need help with or clarification of some sort, write it down and give it to me at the beginning of class and I will address it for you and the rest of the class.
I will be using a Smartboard in your math class. This will enable me to save some of the processes and instructional techniques we cover in class and you will be able to play them here if you have a problem. Most of these processes will be posted "out of a need" for them. So, if you have trouble, then say so!! and I may just cover it again in class for everybody or put something here you can review.
If you still don't get the grasp of how to perform them, email me and let me know what you are having trouble with and I will be sure to address it in class if I am not able to email you before class.
