The Hanoverian horse dates back to the middle ages, where it was used as a war horse.  This warmblooded horse originates from Germany and has been seen winning multiple Olympic competitions.  Breeding of the Hanoverian has improved over the years and now Hanoverian horses are noted for their beauty, charming disposition, easy temperment, althletic ability, agile gate, and gracefulness.

The 8H Team chose the Hanoverian as our team name and mascot because it embodies the same qualities we believe our students have and that we try to help them show.  We are proud to have the Hanoverian as our team name!
