The 7th Swindon Scout Group meets in the Redhouse area of Swindon on Monday evenings during term time.
 
We have a Beaver colony with around 24 members, a Cub pack with around 36 members, and a Scout troop of around 30 members.

24 October - Half Term - no meeting
5 November - Lydiard Park Fireworks 
7 November - Swindon Streetwise (scout section only)
2-4 December Scout Winter Camp

  • Group Camp 16-18 September
    10.30am Saturday morning: Everyone slept well and the sun is currently shining.  There are a few showers but we are dodging them and they don't last long.  The Beavers have arrived and are busy pitching their tents.  Everyone is happy and looking forward to the activties planned for today.

  • Scout Summer Camp 2011
    Wednesday: Patrol challenges and competition meal today - Colin says we are all doing really well!
     
    Tuesday: Today we went sailing on the lake and the weather is still good.
     
    Monday: We walked in the mountains today and then swam in the pool this evening. 
     
    Sunday: A great day at camp.  Weather is great - the scouts went zorbing this morning and did archery and shooting this afternoon.  They are having a great time.  Football competition tonight!
     
    Saturday : arrived safely, tents pitched, sun shining and everyone is happy.  Looking forward to a good week.

  • Scout Christmas Post 2010 - a fabulous result!
    As a result of all the efforts put in by members, parents, Leaders and Executive members the Group has raised £947.65 from the sale of stamps and the delivery of cards to the Priory Vale area. 
     
    The money will help with Group running costs, subsidising activites and outings as well as our long term of goal of having our own hut somewhere in the Priory Vale area.
     
    The scouts in Swindon delivered over 122,000 cards. It was a record year for the Group selling 5256 stamps (an increase of 855 on last year) and delivering approximately 4500 cards.
