This site is for anyone curious about the Christian faith. In today's world, many people have been turned off by the Christian faith, because they don't think it's cool, they don't understand it, or have been turned off by hypocrites in the past.  These are all valid reasons and it's hard to get past them, only to find some huge Bible that they think they have to read in order to "claim" themselves as Christians. I'm taking the time to write this, because I used to be one of those people.

I used to feel like being a Christian wasn't accepted by my friends, so I would be afraid to learn about it or talk about it. Now I know most of friends like you for you; not for what you believe in. If they don't like you because of what you believe in, then it's time to get new friends. In the past, I had also been turned off by seeing hypocrites of the Christian faith all over the news. But then I realized I can't let those hypocrites set a stereotype for all of the other good-hearted Christians in the world today. There are always going to be hypocrites, no matter where you go or what you believe in. In fact, I would go so far as to say that every person in the world has been a hypocrite in some way, at some point in their life. I think it's just more visible when a Christian does it, because many Christians try to portray themselves as eletists who do no wrong. The problem here is that the true Christian faith doesn't say you should be perfect or an elitist. Actually, the Christian faith says that we are all imperfect and even though we should strive to be better people, it isn't possible to be perfect.

In the end, there are many reasons why people are scared to learn about the Christian faith, but I personally realized if I wanted to really learn and find out for myself, I had to read it for myself. All through out life, I've had numerous people try to tell me WHAT I should believe in, but that in itself can turn someone away from wanting to learn. If you really want to understand it for yourself, you have to learn it yourself. Of course, this is where the fear of reading this huge book, called the Bible. Ouch, how do you get motivated to read something that big??? Well, I took the dive, because I didn't want to die, NOT knowing for myself if God really exists or not. So, if you feel the same way, but are scared to take on the whole Bible, just read some of my blogs and it may just help you decide.
