Detail of a classic Snap-On Tools keychain. The keychain was manufactured by using the two ends of a 1/4" drive universal socket, plugging them into each other, and putting rings through the roll pin holes. Distributors were passing them out for free as an advertising gimmick for a while... Nikon D300 w/ Nikon 85mm 3.5vr micro. Strobist: SB-600 through umbrella med. high camera right. 20/2/11 This image was taken for strobist sunday theme "shinny metal" its my 10mm snap-on spanner which i have used almost every day for about 6 years now, maybe i should have got a brand new one but never mind. I han an idea shooting shinny meatal would be tricky but its very tricky, started with rows of sockets but couldnt get even light cover on each one.
