Aldeburgh Suffolk.com is the local business association web guide for Aldeburgh. 

Aldeburgh carnival & regatta  a weekend of activities leading up to Carnival Day, the 3rd Monday in August. It is a huge event culminating in a Chinese lantern walk & firework display in the evening on the Monday. Very crowded.

Children’s play ground -Kings Field.

Community Centre  2 minutes walk. It is open to all Thursday- Sunday evenings. Recently redecorated it has sky TV, table tennis and pool and a bar. Ideal if you really have to watch the match on Sky. Located on the gravel road to Kings field off the roundabout & on the right, opposite the fire station. They usually have a blackboard leaning on the wall by the roundabout saying what matches are on. Check they have not got a hire on when they might be closed to general public. Usually have a cask beer on too.

Lifeboat and shop If the lifeboat is to be launched, it is always worth watching from the beach. 

Marsh walk. You can also walk to the river banks and marshes through the allotments by the tennis courts. A good circular walk past the Yacht club and close by the unique and most northerly Martello Tower, originally built to keep Napoleon out!

Model Yacht pond next to the Moot Hall. Toy boats can be bought in local shops. A must for small children and get and ice cream or coffee from the posh kiosk.

Public Tennis courts £2.50 adult £1.00 child p hr. By car, first turn right after roundabout into town, down Park Rd. By bike from the roundabout go straight across past the fire station. Follow path across Kings field past the children’s play area and take path by allotments. The courts are on the first path off on the left. Map

Tides times.  select "Slaughden Quay" for the River tides at Aldeburgh and Aldeburgh for the sea tides.

Yacht clubs and boat launch on the River Alde. Keep going south from the end of the High St. A good place to walk, see the most northerly Martello Tower and the marshes.

Directions: Head for Aldeburgh town centre. At High Street T junction turn right to Slaughden Quay and Aldeburgh YC. Follow lower shingle track past Slaughden SC. At Upsons Boatyard turn right to slips.
