One last meal at Doc Chey's
One last meal at Doc Chey's
We headed out of the house for Chipotle on Saturday (we don't have Chipotle in Mount Pleasant or Charleston). Instead, something compelled us to go to another old favorite from Greenville, Doc Chey's Asian Kitchen. While at Doc Chey's, we were informed by a long-time employee of theirs that Sunday would be their last day open in Greenville...and this coming only a couple of years after they had considered a second location (downtown). This is truly sad news. Doc Chey's was absolutely packed on Saturday - people were eating at the bar because the dining room was full. We had frequented Doc Chey's since they first opened the Greenville location. This is the second location of theirs (they only had four to begin with) that I know of which has closed - the one at Sand Lake and South O.B.T. in Orlando closed a couple of years ago. The main location in Atlanta, of course, remains open and the franchised location in Asheville, NC also remains open. If you're fortunate enough to be near either of those, I highly recommend the Thai Coconut Red Curry with Chicken.
