Caught onto bowing within the first 6-7 minutes of being asked. Saddle training? Quiet!! Took the saddle and bit like he had been doing it for years. Has had beginners on his back with no problems. When he senses fear he slows his pace down by over 1/2 (which you wouldn't believe would be possible) Under Saddle - He has been ridden bareback with a bosal or with just a halter and lead rope. He can ride bridle-less no problem or questions asked. When saddled he rides just as nice. His third ride resulted in a saddle going through ditches and trail riding. Has an easy walk, trot, and lope that is very smooth to ride!! He collects 90% of the time without being asked.

These houses are quite interesting as they are both carved out of the soft volcanic rock and added to with local stone, so many times the upper floors or just the upper levels of a room are made from blocks of rock while the lower floors or the lower levels of a floor are carved. The advantage to this soft rock is that it is easily chiseled out, so you can make as many niches or shelves as you wish. The disadvantage, of course, is that except for the front rooms it is dark. Those that are being refurbished are generally given a wooden floor and all the modern electric and plumbing amenities.
