Project F-78

Old school muscle meets modern technology - project F-78.

This was my first muscle car.  I found this baby in the auto trader advertised for $4500, I drove down to see it friday night and brought it home for $3200.  I took it to RS Automotive for a safety & couldn't believe it only needed a passenger side ball joint!  I drove this car for two years without any problems before decideing it needed to be cleaned up and painted for my wedding.  The body shop was booked 12 months in advance as I wanted a SEMA finish & no regular body shop would do.  The car was stripped of its drivetrain, glass, interior & ready for its make over when the body shop informed me only 6 weeks before my wedding that they had double booked & wouldn't be able to finish the car on time.

Project F-78 was officially on hold until after the wedding.  This wasn't all bad though, the next day while my wife & I were out for a drive I located a 65 Chevy pick up in a field that needed some major work, after all I needed a hot rod at my wedding & if it wasn't going to be my camaro, why not a rat rod of a pick up truck!  Its been 3 years now and project F-78 has been in storage ever since while I have been working on my 65 deciding what direction to take the Camaro.  In a way I'm glad this happened, 1) I have two cool muscle cars now.  2) I have now planned a better camaro than originally thought!
