Opening the newly refurbished McDonalds at the Galleria in Hatfield
Opening the newly refurbished McDonalds at the Galleria in Hatfield
McDonalds franchise owner in Hatfield, Mike Ghazarian, was delighted to welcome local MP Grant Shapps to open his refurbished Hatfield restaurant on Friday. Employing 117 local staff, the store has gone from strength to strength in recent years. The local MP met with the team over lunch and was shown around the kitchen in the Galleria restaurant. Grant Shapps said, 'I've always been a big fan of the way that McDonalds get involved in the local community and so it was great to meet the owner and hear about their plans to help local community organisations.' The MP also revealed that he'd once stayed in a charitable Ronald McDonald children's recuperation home after a car crash in the United States left him in a coma in 1989. End.

Menu from Lum's Restaurant
I am not actually sure which Lum's Restaurant this was from. From Wikipedia: Lum's was chain that was founded in 1956 by Stuart and Clifford S. Perlman when they purchased Lum's hot dog stand in Miami Beach for $10,000. Over the next few years, the Perlman brothers opened three additional Lum's restaurants, for a total of four by 1961.[2] Clifford Perlman, who in addition to owning Lum's, had been serving as the president of Southern Wood Industries, Inc., resigned that position to work full time for Lum's. Under the brothers, Lum's began aggressively expanding and franchising. In 1969, Lum's, Inc. was admitted to the New York Stock Exchange.
