I decided against doing any schoolwork this afternoon, so I went to Value Village with Brendan. We got a new lampshade for the living room, a picnic tablecloth (that I cut up and put on our porch tables), some sweaters for Brendan, and a sundress for me. After cleaning up our porch and reorganizing everything on it, I got all manic and decided that I also wanted to fix up our black cupboard thing in the kitchen. We store our pots and baking bowls on those two bottom shelves and they get so dusty, so I spent two bucks on rolls of self-adhesive vinyl and corrected the problem. It looks way better now (and I regret not taking 'before' photos!).
Oh dear.
Simon has yet again turned an ordinary household object into a passion. He has fallen in love with this old vinyl tablecloth and spends much of his day clawing it, rolling on it, hiding his toys in it, and begging to be dragged around the kitchen on it. At least he has imagination.
