DeWALT!! And here it is! millers falls drill 1954
I have been using it for days now and haven't proken a single bit (drill or screw). It's a rather comprehensive kit...tons of tips and holders and such. Also has DeWALTs fancy little speed lock system that I'm quite enjoying. I used to use the magnetic tip holders...they are great, but this new one adds to the capability because of the larger variety of bits that will pop in and out including drill bits and sockets. Saves the need for multiple screwguns that are the general rule on most projects (and with most carpenters) because it takes less time to change bits than it would to pick up the other gun. As for the price...Not bad really. Turned out to be the same price (after sale and rebate) that the crappy stuff from costco was...$30 (down from $70) With 95 pieces that's about 30 cents a bit. The 5 pack of screw tips tends to go for around 4 bucks and I noticed at Lowes the other day that just the set of drill bits I got in this kit were being sold seperately for $30. So, good deal and GREAT tools! Millers Falls electric drill was made less costly to manufacture as the number of parts was reduced. Designer Garth Huxtable and Millers Falls engineers worked together to produce a tool with improved style, more comfortable grip and greater general convenience. Machining was almost completely eliminated by the use of properly designed die-castings and self-aligning bearings. The hammer-tone enamel finish of previous drills was retained.
