Reinstall and finishing up Align the shield/cover on top of the geared hub, note the spacer placement for the front shield. Torque to 75 ft lbs for the 4 bolts and fill with a quality gear oil. Make sure the large fill nut is only hand tight, don't over torque this bolt or the drain bolt! Clean the threads of the CTIS line [not pictured] and rub silicon pipe tread sealant onto the threads to ensure a nice air tight seal. Wrench the airline back into the cover. Replace the idler arm and reinstall the castle nut, tighten to match measurements before installation and install a new cotter pin. Reinstall the wheel, tighten your wheel bolts to the correct torque rating [ 110-120 ft lbs for AM General aluminum wheels] and you are done! 1978 Kramer 650-G
This gem came from the Red White & Blue Thrift Store. It was sitting behind the counter, and I wheedled the price down over a period of about two weeks in January. It was in the original case, with tons of goodies! (Including the strap, original paperwork, about 20 pieces of sheet music, a footswitch, a fuzz box, picks, a cable, Allen wrenches, a screw driver, and a white cotton hankie, embroidered with an "A"). It is just as heavy, if not heavier, than any Les Paul that I've ever played!
