Students are to expected to make-up missed assignments within a reasonable time after their absence from classes. I will not constantly remind students to make up work! Students and Parents, please be sure to check the missed assignments page & 6A announcements page for specific information that may not appear on the individual subject pages! Failure to access my webpages, due to computer problems, does not constitute a valid excuse for incomplete homework or late assignments. Students are expected to keep an accurate written record of all assignments and their due dates! All of my students are expected to write down their daily homework assignments, projects, quizzes, test and exam due dates. Also items listed on these webpages are subject to change in the classroom because of last minute schedule changes. Remember: "Seek and you shall find." ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT RESPONSIBILITY AND RESPECT ARE THE KEYS TO SUCCESS IN MY CLASSES! A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR TEACHER ![]() This is my twelfth year teaching at St. Philip the Apostle School. I spent my first year as a substitute teacher at SPS, and at several other Catholic and public schools in the area. In 2001, I joined the SPS faculty as a full-time teacher. I have taught second, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth grade students in the last eleven years. Over the past 20 years I have taught CCD, bible study classes for children ages 3 to 13 years of age, and prepared high school students for the Sacrament of Confirmation. I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration and a Paralegal Certificate in 1985 from Montclair State College. I worked as a paralegal for fifteen years in a small law firm. Then in 2004, I earned a Masters of Teaching degree with a concentration in elementary education from Montclair State University. I possess a permanent K to 8 standard teaching certificate from the State of New Jersey and I am highly qualified to teach Middle School Science. In 2003 I was awarded the Daniel J. Boyle Distinguished Educator Award. I have been blessed with a wonderful husband, who is in his 29th year as a High School Chemistry and Physics teacher. I am also very blessed to have two beautiful children. I love teaching, reading, shopping, hiking, traveling and spending time with my family and dear friends. This past spring I traveled with my two dear sisters to Spain, to visit my daughter, who studied in Sevilla for a semester. This past summer, my wonderful husband took me to Aruba for a very relaxing vacation. I look forward to many more journeys around God's glorious globe. |
