Jay Rothstein is President of China Venture Films, LLC which is a
US based film production company producing feature films in China.
His first movie, Milk
& Fashion, has been distributed throughout
China and a deal has been reached for US distribution. Milk
& Fashion mark the first instance whereby a
non-Asian has spoken Chinese throughout the lead role of a feature
film. Jay Rothstein's current
feature, Distance
Runners, tells the story of athletes who travel to China to
compete in an ultra marathon endurance race. As of May 1, 2009,
this project is in post production and is
scheduled to hit theatres this fall. His upcoming
feature, Paper
Children, is currently in development. CVF is one of a few
foreign companies authorized by the Chinese
government to produce and distribute movies in mainland China.
