Banks Road, West Kirby
Banks Road, West Kirby
I wonder how long the likes of Hazelhursts Linen Shop will last? West Kirby has lost some of it's important 'every day essentials' shops to the likes of Cafe bars and Alfresco eateries. The same too is happening in Hoylake. I know that this part of the Wirral has always been "snobs corner" but I think that their reputation for being affluent is now starting to cause shops like these to close in favour of the afroementioned, heavily priced eaterties to which West Kirby now has a few.

If you were to go to the right in this photo, you would be heading up Queen Street. If you kept going straight towards the Bank of Bermuda, you would still be on Front Street. Just barely in the right side of the picture is the edge of the Irish Linen Shop.
