As a Group we are constantly looking for ways of raising funds to support our activities. The core income from the group is from the subscriptions we charge our members. currently set at £90 per year. Unfortunately as a Scout Group we have to pay towards the upkeep of the Scouting organisation as a whole and this "capitation" fee swallows up about half of the money from our subscriptions.
Other costs include; rental and maintainance of the hut, maintainance and renewal of equipment and insurance. After all our costs are covered this leaves about £1 per child per week to fund each activity.
We are lucky to have lots of camping, BBQ and Games equipment that we would be very happy to hire out to Friends and Families of our Group.
BBQ
Scouts have been running the BBQ at the going forth Mass at St Josephs School for the last few years. We have two large BBQs (one Gas, one charcoal), that we would be very happy to hire out. We can supply utensils, charcoal and gas. We also have access to 'Cash and Carry' for catering food packs', which we would be happy to share. Hire Prices from £25.00.

Our Marquee is available for private hire. It's Dimensions are 8 x 6 Metres (approx 26 by 20 feet). It opens at both ends (ground to roof) and at sides (two central windows, ground to roof). We can supply with Tables and Benches if required. Hire price from £150.00 fully erected and removed.

This is available for private hire. 7.0m diameter Parachute canopies brings excitement and something new to childrens parties. A wide variety of different games can be played, including ball games. More info on games can be found on the link. Hire £10.00.

Various tents, a Tipi tent, a 'Colman Event Shelter' and a Gazebo.
Camping equipment, including a Fire Grate and Tripod Oven.
Games equipment, such as giant skittles, bean bags, indoor hockey, marble alley etc.
A computer projector and screen

Other Fundraising Activies
Ink Cartridge and Mobile Phone Recycling - Just hand them to your Leader.
We can pass printer ink cartridges back to recycling companies who will give us a small deposit on them usually £1.00.
