Relaxed But Ready On-set Painter Todd Hatfield was a great addition to the on-set art department, but he's really a very messy person... even messier than me. Just look at his pants. Todd and On-set Dresser Dan Foster are leaning on a craft service cart during a rehearsal. They had a bet that actor Courtney Gains was going to descend into a Barney Fife impersonation by the time that cameras rolled. Todd was confident that Courtney would hold it together but Dan needed some extra spending money that weekend and started whistling the theme song from the 'Andy Griffith Show'. Todd and Dan would often team up to help each other on set, and they got along like old friends. While these two positions are often staged off of the prop truck on shows along the East Coast I'm not sure if that's standard practice in other parts of the country. Generally, these guys get a moderate amount of help (at best) from the Prop Department. That's because we propguys tend to be lazy, arrogant bastards who eschew any affiliation with the art department. I'd like to think that I help them more than other people but that would be up to them to say... I was probably as bad at it as everyone else~! 2963: Breakfast (add milk and sugar to the cereal)
The black-and-silver thing is an insulated bag that I bought in Moab for $12.
