Welcome to Rhonda’s Space!
Here on Rhonda’s Space I hope we can, together, share and discuss images that bear witness to our collective vision of the world. In Mayan tradition the greeting, ‘In Lakech,’ means I am another yourself, you are another myself' ~ I am you and you are me. As individuals, our images will be diverse but we can look for the bond that unites us all.

And the search begins…

Inspiration (photographers): Diane Arbus, Walker Evans, Elliot Erwitt, Robert Frank, Robert Adams, William Eggleston…to name a few.
Inspiration (other): The music/poetry of Tom Waits, Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen inspires me as well.
Film, digital or both: primarily film...I've used a digital camera in a pinch but it doesn't feel right.
Quote: “The thing that's important to know is that you never know. You're always sort of feeling your way.” -Diane Arbus
A favourite photograph: USA, New York City, 1946, Elliott Erwitt

Elliott Erwitt puts it more eloquently than I ever could when he said, "Photography is a craft. Anyone can learn a craft with normal intelligence and application. To take it beyond the craft is something else. That's when magic comes in. And I don't know that there's any explanation for that."
