Sunday, March 11th, 4pm The grand finale of the South County 4th Season Race Series! How many miles of trail can you run in one hour? Open to individual (solo) racers and relay teams. (Only solo racers count towards series championship standings). Whether you run two miles or ten, this race will be a fun, challenging celebration of the first evening of Daylight Savings and the onset of Spring. The course will be a rolling loop featuring a mix of wooded trails and open ground. Course will be 2 mile loop with mile splits recorded. Each Relay team member must run at least one complete (2-mile) lap. Solo runners and relay teams will have their completed miles counted and timed. Results will be ranked by: 1) most full miles completed 2) fastest time to complete that number of miles. For example, if three runners all complete 6 miles in under an hour, and 2 runners complete 5 miles, their results might look like this: 1 Swift, Susan 6 miles 55:23 2 Blow, Joe 6 miles 56:413 Thrice, Larry 6 miles 57:33 4 Blazer, Bertie 5 miles 51:52 5 Sizzler, Steve 5 miles 59:58 Notice that overall time reflects when the runners completed their last full mile. Bertie Blazer may have been close to completing 6 miles, but fell just short before the hour ran out, so only the five mile split is recorded. Meanwhile, Steve Sizzler just made it to the mile mark before the hour ran out. Prizes for overall, age group, and team winners. General prize raffle for all participants following awards.
