HYDRAULIC ACTUATOR VALVE. AIR PRESSURE REDUCING VALVES. BUTTERFLY VALVES CAD DRAWINGS. Hydraulic Actuator Valve
Boeing 737-300 port main gear, from the front. This is the very first 737-300, which Boeing bought back from US Air at the end of its economic life. Boeing used it to try different possible causes for the two, suspected, hard-over rudder disasters which caused two 737s to upset suddenly and fly more or less straight into the ground. They even tested the "fat guy hypotheses", which posited that an extra heavy passenger had deflected or broken the floor of the airplane and that had caused the rudder to be driven hard over without a control input. No reasonable conclusion was ever reached from testing, but some improvements in the two input/two hydraulic system actuator for the rudder were made, the valve and actuator being redesigned to reduce a possible failure mechanism, and there had not been a repeat. Thank goodness. 101-0160_IMG Porsche 956/962 transmission, suspension, spacer, hydraulic clutch actuator, antiroll bar, shift linkage
Anti-roll bar on left, over transmission. Upper arm of anti-roll assembly rotates around its long axis, stiff one way, less stiff after rolling 90 degree. The engine is mostly out of sight to the right. Clutch is in the bell housing just next to the engine, with the hydraulic actuator bolted to the bell housing. The starter motor and solenoid are painted white (nice), low and on the right. That's the gear shift linkage going across from lower right to mid left. One modest Rose joint links the essentially straight tube that the gear shift connects to (right) to a slightly curved tube that extends to the left and drives the shift mechanism on the transmission. 6e9_DSC_0373 See also: engine valve mechanism api plug valve china valve manufacturer washing machine isolation valve valve body upgrade butterfly valve pressure drop thermostatic valve how it works pneumatic engine valves electric diverter valve |
