Ferrari 512TR (1991-94) Engine 4943cc V12 48 valve Production 2280 Update of the Ferrari Testarossa. Powered by a 48 valve V12 with dry sump lubrication an output of 428bhp and torque of 491 newton metres. The 512 engine was modified with Nickasil liners added along with a new air intake system, Bosch engine management system, larger intake valves and a revised exhaust system. The modifications produced a higher peak power, and a broader power curve. A new single plate clutch, sliding ball bearings, and a better shift angle improved gear selection which had been a complaint levelled at the Testarossa. The car also benefited from quicker steering and a new shock absorber setting. The engine and gearbox were also repositioned improving the weight distribution.
