Some coffee mugs Clockwise from back left: Handthrown artisinal mug picked up at a Christmas crafts show many years ago. Handle broken and repaired at least twice. Purple french press travel mug with under-mug stash for another cups' worth of coffee makings. A Cafe Bugs coffee cup atop another handthrown mug. Corningware USA mugs on the right, including a yellow Centura mug. Turquoise mug I initially thought might be a Harlequin. I have now decided it is merely a knock-off. The interior is a very virulent shade of green, not a color I've seen ever on a piece of Fiesta. Plus the handle lacks the decorative bits all the Harlequin examples have that I have been able to find. Two T&J-style modern Fiesta coffee mugs. At a dime each I decided to bring them home even though I don't "do" Fiesta. White mug is "Taylor Mugs Made in USA" and has a yellow interior. Coffee Press
1. Boil water to use for coffee. While boiling, fill carafe with warm water. 2. Let boiled water cool for a minute. Empty out carafe. 3. Pour 1 tablespoon freshly ground coffee into bottom of carafe - this makes one cup for me. 4. Fill carafe with boiled water to just the bottom of the metal rim. 5. Put the lid on, but do not depress the plunger. Let the coffee brew for 2-3 minutes. 6. Slowly depress plunger, keeping it straight so ground coffee won't escape the metal mesh. 7. Pour brewed coffee into your mug while holding lid of the coffee press in case it falls off. Add sugar and milk/cream. Done!
