Cast steel gate valve : Pneumatic foot valve. Cast Steel Gate Valve
Continuous caster “Continuous casting” refers to Continuous Steel Casting; it’s a physical process which transforms the molten steel into solid format in order to get the Semi-Final-Product for the upcoming production such as rolling mill, etc. For making all sorts of Final Products, originally there are two ways: casting ingot and continuous casting. Continuous casting technology is the advanced way to solidify large volumes of molten steel into certain desirable shapes, which emerged in American and European countries during the 1950s. Relative to other conventional processes, continuous casting is distinguished by its advanced nature of increased metal yield rate, improved casting steel quality and saving on energy resources. The process of continuous casting steel begins with molten metal solidifies against the mould walls while it is simultaneously withdrawn from the bottom of the mould, and then the casting steel is cooled by the spraying water to entirely solidified for subsequent cutting into casting blank. A new grade of cast stainless steel, being tested by Jeremy Busby of Oak Ridge National Laboratory, may prove useful in the ITER fusion device. In this photo, Busby loads a specimen into the Materials Test System, which measures fracture toughness.
