ELECTRIC NEEDLE VALVE : NEEDLE VALVE

ELECTRIC NEEDLE VALVE : VALVE SEAT TOOL.

Electric Needle Valve

electric needle valve
    needle valve
  • Adjustment on a carburetor used to set proper fuel/air mixture. Some carburetors have separate needle adjustments for low and high throttle. Typically, turning the needle clockwise (screwing in) leans the mixture (less fuel), and vice versa.
  • This is used to tune the fuel to air mixture on the engine carburetor. On most engines, the needle is turned clockwise to lean the mixture, and counterclockwise to richen.
  • A valve closed by a thin tapering part
  • A needle valve is a type of valve having a small port and a threaded, needle-shaped plunger. It allows precise regulation of flow, although it is generally only capable of relatively low flow rates.
    electric
  • using or providing or producing or transmitting or operated by electricity; "electric current"; "electric wiring"; "electrical appliances"; "an electrical storm"
  • a car that is powered by electricity
  • (of a situation) exceptionally tense; "an atmosphere electric with suspicion"
  • An electric train or other vehicle

Day 321
Day 321
Passed my Asepsis 'final' today with colors. Get it? Not with flying colors but I did it. My pants slipped and instead of pulling them back and re-washing my hands for the millionth time, I just used my elbows (they hadn't touched the point!) and continued on. They said it was ok, though. Then drove up to The Otter House to meet with the sprinkler guy to show him the leaking things and to learn how to winterize the system. The leaking heads were from sand getting into the system. The winterizing was really easy. Basically, just turn off the ball valves leading to the electric valves. Then did a little needling practice. My eyes have been kinda hurting so I thought I might have some heart fire and this point which I just learned, Pericardium 8, is supposed to be good at cooling heart fire. I think it did. Also took care of my stiff neck.
Solenoid Valve
Solenoid Valve
The green boxy item in this pic is the electric solenoid valve. It's normally closed so unless it gets the signal from the control panel, gas cannot flow to the big burner directly above it. Just below and to the right of it, you can see the brass needle valve and aluminum tubing. This is for our pilot light and the strength of the flame can be adjusted using this needle valve (good for windier days).
