Ryobi battery powered tools. Cheap tool set. Ryobi Battery Powered Tools
IMG 5577 I'm not really a huge Ryobi fan. They've taken over Home Depot's shelves this past year, and are exclusively sold there now. They're the cheap alternative tools, and for things like a cordless drill, I find them to be adequate. The battery's have been dying on my blue 18V for awhile now. They don't hold much of a charge overnight and don't really give much power when they work. I took the failing batteries as an opportunity to upgrade to their new lithium ion drill, also 18V. These batteries should hold charges a lot longer, charge faster, and provide power for a bit longer. I specifically looked for 18V, as this is the lower limit of the power I seem to need in my projects. In fact, there are a few things I've tried to do wherein I've needed more power. In these cases I've had to switch to things like ratchets, and go totally manual. I love power tools!
I'm using the 18v Ryobi Lithium Ion powered drill that Brandi gave me for Christmas last year. This thing is amazing. It take about 30min to charge and can be stored with loosing the charge over time. And it lasts for ever with out fading power as the battery drains like the NiCad batteries. The set also included a circular saw, reciprocating saw and flashlight. She also got me a jig saw and and a close quarters drill.
