     Annual 4-H/Fair Royalty Garage Sale

Hello everyone. This is my first work as a 4-H Spotlight Media Reporter. I hope you all remember the garage sale which was on May 2nd. If you do or don't Ill tell you about it. It was at the Clallam County Fairgrounds, and 9 clubs were involved. It was good and we sold a lot of items including about 22 large items. Every leader agreed that the sales were good and that this was an awesome fundraiser.
"Its a good way to have a fundraiser for your club." said Laurie Davies, leader of the Clallam County Fair Royalty.
"I'm glad I'm inside cause its pouring out there." commented Gail Taylor, leader of The Energetic 4-Hers.

 2009 KYG

The above picture is of the four Clallam County 4-Hers that attended the 2009 Know Your Government conferene in February. The theme for this year's KYG was "You Be The Judge." The delegates learned a tremendous amout about the Judicial System, but didn't even realize it because the four days spent in Olympia were packed with challenges, mock trials, Capital tours, and more. Click here to learn more about KYG.

This was a great experience for me, and I was able to learn a lot about my government and the people involved in it. I had a great time meeting people from all over the state of Washington who had the same interests as me.
I have never been to a teen conference like this, and I hope to go to many more. It opened a lot of doors, and now I understand a lot more about what is going on in the political world.
After this meeting, I was able to go back to my club and tell them about KYG. Many people are interested, and hope to go next year. I can't wait untill KYG next year, to see all of the peope I met and to learn more about our government.
