The land of Treayal has fought a 20 year war against a relentless foe on it's eastern borders. For nearly 75 years the western border has been quiet. That is all changing. What is happening on the western border? Does it have something to do with the war? What is the origin of the mystery creature that has been terrorizing the people on the border? The king's men are stretched thin, can a hand picked group of adventurers come together and solve the Mystery of the Borderlands? Site Contents | Announcements5/31 Site clean up. The campaign has grown quite a bit since it's humble beginnings based on a book I was reading. Thanks to a better understanding of the 4e rules, some enjoyable reading through the published adventures a just some general growth in my ideas I have made huge changes in both the adventure itself and the background stories. This means that some of the detail on this site is wrong. I will be working to get that updated over the net couple of days. I suggest using the Recent Site Activity sidebar to see what has changed, who knows, might find some valuable clues. 5/5 Happy Cinco de Mayo. Out of curiosity does anyone have any interest in doing a post game podcast? I am sort of a new/social media nut and was thinking it might be kind of fun. it would be sort of a session recap thing with a bit of discussion about our thoughts on 4e. It would be hard to compete with the guys at RPGMP3 (I believe they are in Houston as well) but we could give it a try. 5/3 Regardless of which Pantheon we go with for the campaign, I have decided we will include a few gods from another setting. Gorham (The Helmed Vengeance, The Brave One, He Who Fights First) is the Lawful Good God of War, Valor and Chivalry. The King is a devout follower of Gorham. Most of the Kings closest advisors hold Lawful Good Gods as their own personal deities of choice. 5/2 A couple of items have been uploaded to the file sharing site. Each of you should have received an e-mail from me (via a service called Pogoplug) with a link to the shared drive space. Two articles have been posted:
4/29 I have just added a new file containing a map of Treayal. I figured you guys might like to see where you live. Check out the Geography section for additional details. Sorry for the rather crude hand drawn map (which I just realized I scanned upside down - sorry). I am actually working on a version in Campaign Cartographer, but I suck at that program so it is taking a while. Also I am hoping to put a bunch of information into the History section later tonight which will give everyone a much better idea of how things are in the world. It is suggested reading as it will be invaluable to the PC's to have this knowledge as they begin their service to the King. One other small note. The background text will be changing a bit. The background was one of the first things I wrote, and the whole campaign and world has since morphed. 4/28 Wizards of the Coast has made available for free the Quick Start rules along with Keep on the Shadowfell. I posted about it earlier on my blog. Please try to avoid reading Keep on the Shadowfell. A portion of the first part of the campaign will take place in the Keep. :) 4/25 FYI to the arcane classes. Arcane power is released and that means PC's can swap out for things from the new book. As we have not started yet, you can swap out as many feats and powers as you desire. Perhaps our wizard needs a familiar? 4/21 I added a little surprise. A draft of one of the possible encounter maps the party may encounter. I noticed that no one has chosen a class or race from the PH2. If anyone wants to switch but does not have the book et me know and we can work something out. |
Podcast sounds kinda fun. I've updated Pax for the Arcane Powers.
Also, I'm finally getting to the PogoPlug and found that the link has expired. Obviously, I'd like to take a look at the White Lotus Academy.
Nevermind about the files. I found them here.
