Dinosaur Coffee Cup So my coffee today came in a plain white styrofoam cup that someone had taken a Sharpie to. Now it has a dinosaur and a flower on it, and it says "have a beautiful day" on it. Someone wrote that message in hopes that someone would see it and get a little surge of joy from the drawing they had done--even though I will never know who it was that drew the dino, a connection was made there. My day was really stressful, and believe it or not this cup cheered me up a bit. Sometimes humanity is a wonderful, wonderful thing. This is one of my collecting holy grails, so I was thrilled to pick up two of them (at different times) recently. I didn't think I'd ever see one, so for two to show up is magnificent. The triple arch motif of 80s McDonald's is my favourite packaging of all time, fast food or otherwise. Not just for the nostalgic connection to my early childhood; I also think it's simply fantastic design.
