i love the cutie on the right she loves the cutie on her right she's a tough cookie, but somehow he figured her out and managed to weasel his way in (i've gotta say, any boy who'd tye-dye his tuxedo shirt to match his date's dress knows what's up.) she became smitten with him last spring but he’d already promised to take another girl to the prom, so she snarled and let the other girl borrow her boy. They dressed up in animal costumes and had their own prom in a friend’s living room. This year, she feared he would miss her prom again because of a trip, so they had their own prom again. This time, a more formal version---with a borrowed dress and a fancy meal. Then her school’s prom date was moved back and it turned out they’d actually be able to go to a real prom together. this photo is from just before their third, and this time for real, prom night. he's now off on a 2-year mission trip and i'm sure he's pining away for her burps, her duck face, her confidence and sensitivity, her giggle, how she says "effin b" instead of actually cussing, her superior taste in music, her cute nose her strong will and faith and maturity lord knows i admire her and miss her (yep sis, i said lord... just for you) and i am thankful for her every flippin' second of every flippin' minute and have been since i held her the first time when I was 6 years old (even though she wasn’t nearly as pretty then and i didn’t know then that she’d be moving into my room. Ahem.) i was always under the impression that the little sister was supposed to look up to the big sister-- but, somehow, things got reversed and i end up borrowing her clothes and aspiring to be more like her. And consider myself pretty lucky. p.s. sis, i’ve been meaning to apologize for that time that i was babysitting you 10 years ago and told you that i wasn’t really me and i was a killer and made you cry. It just seemed like a good idea at the time. Oh, and that time i threw my cell phone at your face. And how i’m dad’s favorite…
