Guiding Scripture

Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.
~ 1 Timothy 4:12

About Us

WHO WE ARE ...

The Chapel’s Youth Ministry program is intended to establish a body of youth within our church who intimately love the Lord, who know that the Lord intimately loves them, and who want to share Him and His love with others through action and example.  Our program primarily targets the middle-school and high-school student who are open to learning more about God's love for each of us, and have LOTS of fun in the process!!   We do our very best to balance our time together by combining spiritual growth with building meaningful and lasting relationships with each other, as well as reaching out both within and beyond our wals to impact our world in a Godly way.

Today we have more young people participating in our Youth Ministry than ever before … about 52 REGISTERED MEMBERS, with a few more “regular attendees” who just never registered, plus frequent “drop-in’s”, as well as visits from Youth Group “alumni”.

WHAT’S NEXT ...

So, what’s on tap for the Youth Ministry this coming year?  Well, we’ll certainly continue with all of our favorite activities and faith-building, but we’re always looking to continue growing and improving.  Certainly, we expect the highlight for this coming year to be the TWO separate MISSION OPPORTUNITIES, which  we are in the process of planning for this coming summer … one for the Middle School (local), and one for the High School (in Athens, OH)!!  Needless to say, we’re counting on everyone’s continued prayers and support to make this a reality for us!

WHAT WE DO ...
It’s challenging to begin to put into words the wide variety of things we’re involved in, but here are a few of the HIGHLIGHTS from all of the fun, fellowship, and faith-building activities we’ve all celebrated together this past year (and all this was IN ADDITION to our weekly meetings!!):
    - our continued commitment to the 30-Hour Famine
    - our annual Dinner Theater
    - our annual Good Friday Service
    - another wacky and wild “Mission Impossible Video Scavenger Hunt” (you
wouldn’t believe the things that total strangers are willing to let us capture on
      video!)
    - our annual Kids vs. Parents “Crazy Olympics” (this defies description … you’ve
got to see it to believe it!)
    - our 4th trip to Adventure Bound (Maine) for some unbelievable team-building
AND faith-building, while enjoying rock climbing and repelling, white water
rafting, swimming, and LOTS of other fun "stuff"!
    - another very successful table at the Christmas Bazaar
    - our 5th annual Homeless Sleep-Out & Brad-Pack Collection (last year we
filled and delivered over 100 filled backpacks to local homeless shelters!!)
