It is located a short distance from Boston College , near the intersection of Commonwealth Ave. and Washington St. , in Brighton . As part of its services to residents, the Commonwealth Tenants’ Association (CTA) manages an After School Tutoring Program. It gives the children a routine time to and place to study and provides them with role models and friends in the tutors. The program also offers the children a range of fun activities which contribute to their enjoyment of the program and supply them with supervised, safe opportunities for recreation. 4Boston's Role Volunteers will run various afterschool groups and clubs for the children at the CTA. The current groups are: Kids in the Kitchen, Smart Moves, Girls' Group, Boys' Group, Torch Club, and Computer Club. Each group is held once a week and consists of an activity, game, or project, and usually a snack. Volunteers should be creative and willing to plan activities relevant to the clubs.
