with the new trailer out, it was only appropriate! i got tagged for the first time, to write 10 things about myself. i tend to ramble on and write too much. i'm just not a concise person. 1. i can lick my own elbow, and i am furious whenever i see anything (and the myth is EVERYWHERE) saying it's impossible. most people can't but that doesn't mean it's impossible! 2. i basically never wear makeup ever. i have too little patience, and too little money... i never learned how to use it properly and it's expensive. i have a bit of eyeliner and some concealer but really i almost never use it. 3. i've lived in 6 countries: malaysia, pakistan, france, kenya, switzerland, and the US. my dad used to work for the UN so we moved around a lot. i didn't like it when it was happening (obviously, i mean what person wants to leave all their friends behind right when they were starting to get close?) but i can appreciate it now, for the experiences it gave me. 4. i'm a big flip-flop between british and american spelling/terminology because i spent the first 14 years of my life living overseas, and generally had more exposure to british spelling/terminology (malaysia, pakistan, kenya = former british colonies ; france, switzerland = closer to the the UK than the US). i have never been able to stamp out the habit of spelling "colour", "mum", "favourite", "pyjamas", and a few other words, i will ALWAYS say "aluminium", but a lot of the other ones have slowly faded into me saying/spelling them the american way. i used to say all sorts of more "britishisms" but when i first moved here my cousins made fun of me for it so i forced myself to stop really quickly. 5. i speak english and french fluently, though i have a slight accent in french, and i'm not as good at it as i am at english, but i'd still consider myself fluent, or definitely near-fluent. i also took 5 years of spanish (which has now largely been replaced by french in my head) and a year of mandarin chinese. 6. i am 5'1 (and a half!) and about 1.5 inches taller than my mum. i waited my entire life to grow taller than my mum and around 14 i finally did. my brother is 6'1, my dad was 6'1, so our family is a mix of very short and very tall. i definitely wish i were taller most of the the time, but sometimes i'm ok with being short. i fit in right under greg's chin, which is nice. 7. i have serious issues with bugs. my friends know now that when they see a bug they cover my eyes and make sure i don't see it, to either get rid of it or kill it before i look. if there's some bug in my hair they just pick it out and say it's a bit of fluff. i get the heebie-jeebies just thinking about bugs. i have the heebie-jeebies now. 8. i don't mind doing laundry (i hate paying for it though, damn university campuses) but i absolutely hate folding it. but more than i hate folding it, i hate having crumpled, wrinkly clothes because i didn't fold it. so i always fold it, and i always mutter to myself when doing so. 9. i'm currently 19 (almost 20) but in between my 3rd and 4th year in university (technically, i've been a senior credit-wise for over half a year). i'm the youngest university senior i know. my high school messed up when i moved to the US. they should have put me a year back to keep with my old graduation year of 08, because my old school went to grade 13 (different school system), but they didn't. i did fine in school anyway though, it wasn't detrimental at all for me to be put a year ahead, but i was young for my grade even at my old school, so i became even younger for my grade. i graduated high school at 16, and if all goes well i will graduate university at 20. 10. in high school i was highly unmotivated and was a pretty average B student. in college i'm almost a straight-A student, despite classes that are a lot harder and the fact that i worked 3 jobs last school year. i don't do well if i don't feel challenged or if i'm just not interested in the class, i do better in classes that are very challenging but interesting versus classes that are very easy but uninteresting. i get very stressed out and i can complain about all the work i have to do, but i love feeling so accomplished and proud of it once i'm done.

Had been/have been looking for ages for a pair of nude strappy heels and was not finding any. Stumbled across Chinese Laundry and fell head over heels (pun intended). They are taller than I thought but wow for $50 + tax , I can wear them all day and they just look great! I used it during the labor day weekend in Vegas with my sisters. Just found out a week later that Miss Universe 2011 3rd runner-up Shamcey Supsup Philippines was wearing it in her swimsuit the week after.
